Creams Cafe taps into nostalgia trend with new dessert range

The new range arrives ahead of the school summer holidays.

Creams Cafe has launched a limited-edition summer menu featuring a range of sundaes inspired by classic British biscuits, alongside a new selection of cheesecake shakes.

The dessert chain’s latest offering includes four sundaes based on the Jammy Dodger, Wagon Wheel, Bourbon Cream, and Jaffa Cake.

The launch comes as consumer interest in nostalgic flavours continues to grow, with research from FMCG Gurus finding that 57% of consumers are attracted to nostalgic food flavours.

The new range arrives ahead of the school summer holidays, following a period of increased demand for frozen desserts.

Creams Cafe reported a 60% rise in gelato sales during heatwaves in May and June.

The biscuit-inspired sundaes include The Jammy D, which combines vanilla gelato, Jammy Dodger pieces, and raspberry conserve, topped with vanilla soft serve.

The Wagonner features layers of vanilla and chocolate chip gelato, marshmallow fluff, strawberry sauce, and biscuit crumb, finished with vanilla soft serve and a chocolate shell.

The Choc Orange Jaffy combines chocolate chip gelato with orange compote, sponge pieces, and chocolate shavings, whilst the Choc Bobbon includes chocolate chip gelato, milk chocolate sauce, and chocolate biscuit crumb.

Alongside the sundaes, Creams Cafe has introduced three cheesecake shakes, combining elements of a dessert and a drink.

The range includes a Blueberry Cheesecake Shake made with vanilla gelato, vanilla cheesecake, and blueberry conserve; a Lemon Cheesecake Shake made with white chocolate gelato, vanilla cheesecake, and lemon curd; and a Summer Berry Cheesecake Shake made with strawberry gelato, vanilla cheesecake, and raspberry conserve.

The limited-edition sundaes are priced at £8.95 for dine-in customers and £9.95 for delivery, whilst the cheesecake shakes cost £7.95 for dine-in and £8.95 for delivery.
