Domino's Takes Personalisation to a New Level

Pizza chain has recently unveiled a new digital platform that will allow customers to customise their pizza orders and share their creations online.

Dubbed “Pizza Legends", the online portal encourages pizza lovers to name and digitally design their own “Pizza Legend” using a selection of bases, sauces, and toppings. Each Pizza Legend is transformed into a short animated video that is shareable on Facebook and Twitter.

“Customers love to make things their own, and that doesn’t stop at pizza toppings. We wanted to make the personalisation process as fun and engaging as possible – with a competitive twist,” Simon Wallis, Marketing Director at Domino’s Pizza UK, said.

In addition to sharing on Facebook and Twitter, customers may also opt to enter their pizza creations in the website’s “League of Pizza Legends” section, where anyone can view, “like,” and even order other people’s pizza masterpieces at a 30% discount. Further, Pizza Legends users with the most popular and creative pizzas then get a year’s supply of their own Pizza Legend—free.

“Combining a ‘fantasy pizza’ experience that you can share with friends online as well as order in real life– Pizza Legends takes innovation and fun to the next level,” Wallis adds.
