KFC to trial vegan burger

The chicken chain will also test the vegan Southern Fritter Stacker.

KFC will trial a new vegan Imposter burger for four weeks starting 17 June in select stores in London, Bristol and The Midlands, an announcement revealed.

The Imposter burger replaces its classic chicken breast fillet with Quorn fillet and includes iceberg lettuce and vegan mayo.

In addition, KFC will also test another vegan item dubbed as the Southern Fritter Stacker on 15 June. It will be available as a burger, wrap and rice box.

“We know… it’s unfair. Vegans have been cruelly denied the incredible taste of KFC up to now, which is why we’ve worked hard to perfect The Imposter – a vegan burger that the Colonel would be proud of,” said Victoria Robertson, senior innovation leader at KFC UK & Ireland.
