Pret A Manger to launch first retail coffee range

The chain teased more launches planned as part of its “wider retail strategy”.

Pret A Manger will launch its first retail range on 8 May, starting with three organic coffee products going on sale on Amazon.co.uk and in their shops, the sandwich chain said in an announcement.

The range, which is available for pre-order on Amazon.co.uk, now includes Pret’s Organic Classic Blend Ground Coffee (500g), Pret’s Organic Single-Origin Peruvian Ground Coffee (500g), and Pret’s Organic Espresso Beans (1kg).

This move, Pret said, marks the beginning of wider retail offering planned, with additional products under development for future release.

“We are extremely proud of our organic coffee, which is carefully sourced from some of the finest coffee growing regions in the world. We also know how much customers are missing it from their daily lives at the moment, so we’re delighted to be launching our first retail range with Amazon,” Pret’s UK managing director Clare Clough said.

Over 100 Pret shops will also be open across London and the UK starting 11 May, available for takeaway and delivery through third party partners with new social distancing and safety measures in place.
