Subway introduces new vegan wrap, gluten-free bread
The sandwich chain continues its meat-free movement.
Months after launching its first vegan sub and salad in the UK, Subway announced the introduction of a new vegan wrap and gluten-free bread.
The chain’s Vegan Signature Loaded Wrap is described as having a double-portion of their spicy vegan patty, along with a helping of salad and vegan garlic aioli sauce all wrapped up in a tomato basil wrap. Their gluten-free bread, Subway says, is geared for those who are specially baked for those who follow the said diet.
The two new items are part of the chain's recently-announced menu shake up, featuring a range of 21 new and improved ingredients.
Introducing their "Make It What You Want" station that is found at the end of an outlet counter, customers are encouraged to add further finishing touches to their Sub, salad or wrap. Ingredients include chopped SunBlush tomatoes, diced beetroot, and crispy onions.
Other new items include the Chilli & Paprika Bread, Tuna Niçoise Salad and Thai Chicken Salad. There are also changes to Subway’s sauce offering, including improved Hickory Smoked BBQ Sauce and the new Sriracha Hot Chilli Sauce.
