Subway keeps new plant-based sub on the menu, cites “unprecedented” sales

The Meatless Meatball Marinara was a limited-time only sub released last January.

Subway’s new Meatless Meatball Marinara will remain as a fixture on its menu after demand for the plant-based sub “skyrocketed” when it came into stores as a limited time offer in January, it said in an announcement.

The chain said that its “unprecedented” placed the new item alongside their five best-selling menu items: the Chicken Teriyaki, Italian BMT, Spicy Tuna, Spicy Italian and the original Meatball Marinara sub.

Subway has expanded its delivery roll-out via UberEats and Just Eat partnerships to even more stores across the UK and Ireland. Delivery is available from over 1,650 Subway stores across the two markets.
