Subway, Starbucks, PizzaExpress and Pho unveil their Christmas menus

The festive season will see the return of their classic offerings as well as new ones.

Subway, Starbucks, PizzaExpress and Pho has announced the launch of their new Christmas menus which includes new sandwiches and beverages.

The sandwich chain’s new Christmas Cracker Sub is filled with turkey breast, streaky bacon, cranberry & orange chutney, pork & sage stuffing and a rich gravy. The offering also has a counterpart as a Loaded Wrap that is said to have double the meat.

Other items in the said menu are the Chocolate and Orange Cookie and the Gingerbread Latte. These will only be available until January 3.

“We’ve received such amazing feedback to our Festive Feast Subs from previous years, so this year we wanted to go all out with a whole new seasonal product range. I really believe that our guests are going to love this cracker of a menu when it hits stores,” Colin Hughes, country director for the UK & Ireland, said.

Meanwhile, Starbucks launched new beverages which include Christmas Brulee Latte, Salted Caramel Brownie Hot Chocolate and Flat White with Cinnamon Spice.

Their Christmas Brulee Latte is said to be a seasonal take on their traditional Crème Brulee which consists of eggnog milk, Crème Brulee sauce, espresso along with Crème Brulee Twinkle.

The Salted Caramel Brownie Hot Chocolate is made up of steamed milk with mocha and salted caramel sauces, topped with salted caramel brownie whipped cream, brownie crumbles and salted caramel brittle.

Lastly, their Flat White with Cinnamon Spice has cardamom, vanilla and cinnamon spice, and espresso.

They also revealed new designs for their coffee cups, which is said to be the first time since 1999. The green ‘Stargyle’ cup features stars against a back-drop of diamonds, while the new iconic red cup ‘Stripes’ features graphic bands of red and cranberry, accented with white pale rose gold. Their £1 reusable cup is also designed with a red festive theme.

PizzaExpress also unveiled their Christmas range that will be launched on November 20.

It features their classic Pigs in Blanket that consists of seasoned pork meatballs, wrapped in pancetta and a red onion chutney for dipping. Their La Festiva pizza has pulled turkey stuffed with spinach, mixed peppers, pine kernels, rosemary, mozzarella, tomato, red onion and garlic oil, parsley and Gran Milano cheese.

Their new vegan Mushroom and Pine Nut pizza is seasoned with oregano, black pepper, garlic oil, Portobello mushroom, vegan mozzarella, pine kernels, rosemary and parsley.

Their desserts menu will see the return of their Snowball DoughBall that is topped with cinnamon and icing sugar with a choice of fruit coulis, salted caramel or vanilla cream dip.

Other menu items include Pestorissa & Mozzarella Flatbread, Porchetta pizza, Mushroom and Truffle pizza, Golden Gingerbread Cheesecake and Praline Hot Chocolate.

Lastly, the first vegan Christmas menu of Pho contains a range of Vietnamese noodle soups, starters and desserts.

They have their classic noodle dishes such as Phở chay that features tofu and button mushrooms in veggie broth and Spicy Green that has tofu, morning glory, green beans,
pak choi, fresh lime and Thai basil.

They also has rice bowls such as the tofu & rice vegetable bowl Cơm tấm đặc biệt and sorbets such as Kem sorbet and Chuối chiên.
