Subway unveils its first ever Vegan Sub and Salad
The sandwich chain is looking to capture customers following a flexitarian diet.
Subway announced the launch of its first ever Vegan Sub and Salad.
The new items feature a plant-based patty packed with sweet red pepper, chilli, garlic and red onion.
The sandwich chain also introduced a new vegan garlic aioli that can be added to any sub or salad and its Ultimate Cheesy Garlic Bread, made with mozzarella, red cheddar cheese and a roasted garlic and parsley butter.
“We’re always looking to introduce new, balanced choices so as to continue to cater for everyone, whether that’s offering more choice for ‘meat-free Mondays’ or for those following a flexitarian diet.” Subway UK & Ireland country director Colin Hughes said.
The launch of the new vegan sub and salad will be supported by an integrated marketing campaign across PR, social media and advertising.
Subway previously confirmed that it is currently trialling a Vegan Signature Loaded Wrap in some stores in Wales.
