Taco Bell unveils new plant-based taco

The Edgy Veggie Tacos are available for a limited time.

To celebrate National Vegetarian Week, Taco Bell UK is launching a twist on its Crunchy Taco, swapping seasoned beef for two different flavours of plant-based protein.

The Edgy Veggie Taco is only available for a limited time from May 13 to May 19 and comes in Classic and BBQ flavours.

Available only in three Taco Bell London restaurants (Hammersmith, Holborn and Fulham), the Edgy Veggie Taco combines a new plant-based protein made from grains by Gold&Green with the chain’s seasoning, lettuce, sour cream, diced tomatoes and shredded cheddar cheese.

“At Taco Bell, we pride ourselves on being a place where every lifestyle can find exactly what they’re craving. So, whether you’re a vegetarian or a flexitarian, then you’ll love our new flavoursome meat-free offering,” Taco Bell Europe general manager Jorge Torres said.
