Tesco rivalling Greggs with its own vegan sausage roll

The snack costs 75p.

Tesco has launched its own version of vegan sausage rolls, rivaling Greggs' successful product.

Starting this week, the supermarket’s meat and dairy-free sausage roll will be available at 624 stores nationwide. They describe its newest treat as “soya-based Lincolnshire style sausage, seasoned with sage and onion".

Tesco's vegan sausage roll costs 75p, 25% cheaper than the £1 vegan Quorn roll which has proved to be successful at Greggs since its launch earlier this year.
