TGI Fridays unveils new vegan burger

The burger that was originally launched in the US is now in the country for a limited time.

TGI Fridays has launched their new Fridays Vegan Burger for Veganuary.

The offerings is said to taste like its meat version and also has beetroot juice at its center to make it look like it’s bleeding. It also includes coconut oil, mushrooms, lettuce, onion, tomato and a vegan bun.

“We launched our vegan burger in the States last year and have been inundated with the message asking if we planned to bring it in the UK. So, it is here by popular demand,” Terry McDowell, TGI Fridays head chef, said.

“With high protein, zero cholesterol- yet all the flavour of a real burger and with a succulent and satisfying meaty ‘bite’- the question is, why wouldn’t you give it a go.”
