UK's first plant-based tuna poké bowl launched
Island Poké’s Vegan Ahi bowl made its debut last 21 June.
Island Poké has launched its new plant-based poké bowl.
The Vegan Ahi bowl, developed in-house, is said to be the first of its kind in the UK market where their plant-based tuna is made through a natural process by marinating watermelon in similar ingredients to its The Classic Ahi poké bowl. The watermelon is then gently cooked to create a product with the same look, taste, and texture as the regular Ahi Tuna.
“We are thrilled to be launching our new plant-based poké, finally giving our guests a chance to enjoy a real vegan poké experience. We have always wanted to create a vegan option that truly delivers on taste and texture,” Island Poké founder James Porter said.
