Wahaca debuts new menu with healthier additions

The new offerings aim to showcase the diversity of Mexican cuisine.

Wahaca has announced the launch of a new menu, encompassing a host of brand new dishes that feature a mixture of fresh and vibrant produce from Mexico and the UK.

Highlights of the new menu include Mexican Bowls, the DIY Taco Board, and Duck Croquetas. Wahaca says the new items aim to prove to the UK that Mexican food can be "fresh, delicious and healthy" while highlighting its diversity. Inspiration for the new menu came from their recently-opened test kitchen in Shoreditch.

“Our food is in a new phase of creativity as we see how the nation is whole heartedly embracing Mexican food. Where we were once cautious about pushing the boundaries too much we are now excited about how much we can offer in terms of flavourful, healthy, vibrant food," Wahaca co-founder Thomasina Miers said.

Founded in 2007, Wahaca currently has 25 restaurants across the UK.
