wagamama to open 10 restaurants in 2024
The brand previously opened six restaurants last year.
wagamama is planning to open 10 restaurants in the UK over the coming year.
The new restaurants are estimated to create over 500 new jobs including kitchen porters, hosts, chefs and general managers.
The announcement comes as the pan-Asian restaurant opened its first restaurant in the new year in Bentley Bridge, Wolverhampton. Following this site will be an opening in St Enoch’s, Glasgow in February, Epsom in March, Doncaster in April, Chatham Maritime and Woodside Leisure Park Watford in May, with others to follow in the second half of the year.
In 2023, wagamama opened six new restaurants across the UK.
“We’re proud to be opening ten new sites in the UK in 2024. The past year has been an exciting year for us where we’ve evolved the brand through innovative new menu launches bringing new dishes such as vegan k-dogs, Korean-style hot pots and gochujang rice bowls to our benches whilst also launching new brand collaborations such as our slow fashion uniform partnership with Pangaia. Our teams have done an excellent job in continuing to elevate our guest experience and we very much look forward to welcoming more guests to our benches as we head into 2024,” Thomas Heier, CEO of wagamama said.
