Cleanliness drives UK quick service restaurant visits

1 in 2 UK diners buy from fast food at least once a month.

Cleanliness is the number one factor for most UK consumers when choosing a quick-service restaurant, a YouGov survey revealed.

In the UK, at least one in two consumers buys fast food, whether dine-in or takeaway, once a month.

The second most important feature for most consumers is a value or discount menu. This is followed bh short wait for tables, healthy menu options, and having daily specials and promotions.

What most consumers look for when purchasing from fast food restaurants is quality of food, convenient location, value, to have a treat, and speed of service. Meanwhile, consumers are often put off by high prices, bad value for money, long wait times and being too crowded, or they just don’t like the food.
