57% of Londoners eating more vegetarian and vegan food since start of 2019: survey

Most of respondents aged under 35 years old boosted the results.

A survey conducted by the food-to-go brand Pure has revealed that 57% of those living in London surveyed that they are eating more vegetarian and vegan food since the start of the year.

58% of women have been following the vegetarian or vegan diet, whilst there were 56% amongst men. 64% of the respondents aged under 35 years old also said that this was their aim for January.

“Sales of our most popular vegetarian and vegan soups, pastas and Hot Boxes have grown by more than 30% in January. It is incredible to see so many people embracing a plant-based lifestyle,” co-founder of Pure Edward Bentley said.
