The least liked dishes were jellied eels and deep-fried Mars bar.
Yorkshire puddings and scones were revealed to be the most favoured food amongst 50 traditional British dishes, a YouGov survey revealed.
In the savoury category, Yorkshire puddings topped the list with 85% of Brits citing preference for the baked side dish. Trailing behind were Sunday roasts and fish and chips, both at 84%. 81% also liked Crumpets. Other most liked dishes (over 75%) include bangers and mash, cottage pie and shepherd’s pie.
Meanwhile, the least liked dish was jellied eels which only received 6% of the votes.
In the sweet category, 85% of Brits said that they enjoyed eating scones, followed by Victoria sponge (81%), hot cross buns (75%), sticky toffee pudding (73%), Bakewell tart (72%) and Eton mess (70%).
The deep-fried Mars bar had the lowest number of votes at 22%.
