Poorer communities have greater density of fast food outlets, according to the latest research from Public Health England.
In their survey, they have discovered that there is "strong evidence" linking the availability of fast food outlets and increasing level of area deprivation.
Data also showed that the prevalence of overweight and obesity also rises with deprivation. In contrast, fruit and vegetable consumption declined in higher deprivation rates.
