Subway unveils plan to develop e-commerce, omni-channel platforms
The sandwich chain announced that it has acquired a digital technology team from Avanti Commerce, a Vancouver-based online commerce solution provider.
The 20-person team joining SUBWAY Digital will aim to expand and customize Subway's unique e-commerce and omni-channel platforms.
The brand said that the acquisition will help bring its commerce platform to the next level by enhancing engagement and building loyalty while also delivering value to the market. Subway said that it will also continue to partner with Avanti's Innovation Team to further extend the capabilities of their digital strategy. The teams are currently developing an in-restaurant kiosk program.
