Pizza Hut Restaurants launches first playable pizza box DJ remixer
It will enable users to trigger vocals and beats across 12 buttons without any DJ knowledge.
The remixer will sync to a user’s smartphone via Bluetooth and the Novalia app. It works by sensing the electric field of the human body through the use of conductive inks printed into a circuit board. The technology behind this is able to sense taps and long presses, allowing music and pizza fans to mix and drop beats.
Pizza Hut Restaurants’ head of communications Gareth Hopley said, “We’re constantly experimenting with our collection boxes and looking at ways to create something new, unique and exciting for our diners to have some fun with.
“We know our playable pizza box DJ decks were a big hit with our guests last year, and wanted to look at ways to build our DJ range for 2017. When bringing this concept to life, we took inspiration from our VIP card holders – Stormzy, Wiley and Ashley James. They are all such big fans of the launchpad trend, so we’re hoping our pizza box versions will be just as big a hit with our customers too.”
