KFC potentially facing another chicken shortage after main supplier quits: report

Last year’s disruption was due to a switch from suppliers Bidvest Logistics to DHL.

The Sun reported that KFC's main supplier DHL has quit due to being “fed up of being blamed” for last year's chicken shortage.

DHL reportedly did not re-bid after Best Food Logistics - a former KFC supplier called Bidvest - said it could deliver a case of chicken for £22 compared to £24.50.

The publication’s sources fear Best Food’s plans and routes are “unrealistic.”
