McDonald's UK releases statement on welfare policies for chickens

It follows the implementation of new policies in the US management.

According to a McDonald’s UK spokesperson, “In the UK we have been working actively with our chicken suppliers for a number of years to raise welfare standards – and this is an integral part of our Farm Forward programme. Continuing to improve chicken welfare is something that we remain committed to and will be continuing to address.”

McDonald’s Corp will require suppliers to follow new standards for raising and slaughtering chickens served in its restaurants.
