Pret A Manger, Petit Pret to open at St George's, University of London
The shops will also donate unsold food to Ronald McDonald House.
Francesco Guiso and his team are due to open the doors to St George’s, University of London’s Pret A Manger and Petit Pret on 17th October.
Pret A Manger, situated in the university’s Jenner Wing, features a seating area for 124 customers. The Petit Pret, which is in the Hunter Wing, will seat around 76 customers.
Both shops will offer Pret’s menu of sandwiches, baguettes, salads, snacks, hot food and sweet treats. Favourites from Pret’s new autumn menu will include Pret’s first UK Pumpkin Spice Flat White along with a range of hot and hearty additions, including three new vegan soups and a Chicken, Basil & Red Pepper Toastie.
Unsold food from the two shops will be donated to Ronald McDonald House each evening. The organisation has an existing partnership with St George’s hospital and works to provide ‘home away from home’ accommodation for families with children in hospital. Over the past year, the Pret Foundation Trust has re-distributed over three million food items to hostels and shelters across the UK.
General manager Francesco said, “It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to continue my career with Pret at St George’s, University of London – and even more exciting that I will be working with both shops and shop teams. I better get used to running up and down the stairs!
“The team and I can’t wait to meet and get to know our new customers. We had the chance to meet some during last month’s Freshers’ Fair and look forward to welcoming many more over the coming weeks!”
