wagamama opens 10th restaurant in Scotland
The chain now has a total of 168 restaurants across the UK.
wagamama opened its first restaurant in Dundee. This marks the 10th restaurant opening in Scotland, following the opening of the St Enoch’s Centre site, in Glasgow, earlier this year.
The new restaurant will have a fully electric kitchen which is part of wagamama’s pledge to reduce their carbon emissions and eventually remove gas from their estate.
The new Dundee restaurant will serve up classic guest favourites and wagamama’s new summer menu, amongst them the chicken katsu, ramen and iconic on their 50% plant-based menu.
Located on busy Whitehall Street in the centre of the city, the stylish new restaurant has been designed for 128 covers. Open seven days a week, the new restaurant will create 60 new jobs, including bringing wagamama’s total to 168 restaurants across the UK.
In celebration of the opening, wagamama has teamed up with V&A Dundee to organise a number of Dundee school visits for local pupils to enjoy food, drinks and a range of activities at the restaurant followed by a trip to V&A Dundee to see the hugely popular Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk exhibition.
