EXCLUSIVE: Pret A Manger's New Autumn Range

The highlight within the new range are the Toasted Focaccias.

Pret A Manger has revealed its autumn menu which includes 24 new hot food items as well as the return of its Pumpkin Spice Latte.

“Within the launch we have two new Chef’s Specials, a new Breakfast Omelette, two new Lunch Omelettes, one new Toastie, three new Focaccias, two new cookies, nine new soups, two new drinks, two new hot infusions, so that’s 24 new products... Then we have a few smaller things like Gluten Free Soup Bread, and Almond Butter sachets for porridge, we will also be bringing back one of our seasonal fruit pots, our PSL, and changing our kid’s sandwich,” a spokesperson from the chain told QSR Media.

Amongst these products, the highlight is the toasted focaccias, featuring three combinations, the Brie & Bacon Toasted Focaccia, comprising of brie with streaky bacon, caramelised onion chutney and spicy rocket; the Salt Beef & Pickles Toasted Focaccia, with salt beef topped with nutty Swedish greve, crunchy pickled gherkins and a dollop of mustard mayo; and Mozzarella, Pesto & Roasted Tomatoes Toasted Focaccia, which has Italian mozzarella from Bologna, combined with pesto, roasted tomatoes and red pepper.

"We knew we wanted to innovate in hot sandwiches, and developing a new bread seemed like a good way to go", Pret went on to say.

“Toasties have always been really popular with our customers and we knew the time had come to bring out a new hot sandwich. We think our Toasted Focaccias are perfect for warming up chilly autumn lunchtimes,” Pret’s global head of food innovation Hannah Dolan, said.

Its omelettes range features Spicy Chorizo & Red Pepper Omelette and a Squash, Soft Cheese & Feta Omelette. In addition, Pret mentioned that both only uses egg-white.

Nine new recipes have been introduced in a shakeup of the soup menu, including four vegan options. This includes the return of the Mushroom Risotto, which last featured on the menu three years ago. The recipe has been updated to be vegan-friendly and its Gluten-Free Bread, will now also be available as their soup bread.

Lastly, the restaurant chain introduce its Ginger Snap Biscuit and Pret’s Pecan & Caramel Cookie.

“Our seasonal fruit pots will be changing, as well as soups. Our Chef’s Specials which change regularly will also be updated,” the spokesperson confirmed.
