Chopstix launches new plant-based beef stir fry
The launch is part of the group’s push to develop more vegan and vegetarian dishes.
Chopstix has added a new plant-based offering to its menu: Plant-Based ‘Beef’ Stir Fry as part if its focus on developing new products with a focus on vegetarian and vegan dishes.
The Plant-Based ‘Beef’ Stir-Fry is a vegan dish made of soy protein, peppers, onions, fresh chillies, garlic and Chopstix’s Top Secret Stir Fry Sauce. The soy protein prepared in the dish is sourced from Miami foods and is GMO, antibiotic and cholesterol free. As well as being a high source of protein and fibre, it is also free from palm oil and low in saturated fat.

The group launched its first vegan dish, Chopstix Green Thai Tofu Curry in 2019, and expects sales of vegetarian and vegan toppings to double by the end of the year as part of its ongoing strategy to cater to its evolving consumer base by introducing more plant-based alternatives to its favourite menu items.
As well as innovating its offering to meet the dietary requirements and demands of its consumers, the introduction of Chopstix Vegan ‘Beef’ Stir-Fry is also part of an ongoing strategy by Chopstix to reduce the carbon footprint of the business, as replacing food items with high environmental impact such as beef, with plant-based alternatives has been recognised as an impactful step in achieving carbon neutrality.
Chopstix Vegan ‘Beef’ Stir-Fry initially launches in six stores: Canary Wharf, Westfield Stratford City, Oxford Street and Lewisham in London, the Trafford Centre in Manchester, and Peterborough Extra Services. A nationwide roll-out of the dish will follow in the coming months.
