Healthier options not a success at KFC

The chicken giant had made three attempts in the last decade to launch products with less calories.

KFC will now stop selling 'healthier' menu options after failing to attract customers.

The chain's head of brand engagement at KFC UK, Jenny Packwood, admitted that their attempts to make their fries have less calories have resulted to "a lot of grief".

“It didn't go brilliantly well. We tried and we failed to launch a non-fried product. It's no good launching a product which looks good nutritionally but then nobody buys. It doesn't improve the health of the nation and in terms of sustainability it is a disaster,” Packwood said.
