Popeyes to feature first vegan product as part of UK debut

All chicken served, meanwhile, will be fully-sourced from the UK.

Ahead of the opening of its first restaurant in the UK in Westfield Stratford, Popeyes revealed its menu will feature its first ever vegan product.

The Creole Red Bean Sandwich will feature a 100% plant-based red bean patty, lettuce, tomato and Creole sauce in a brioche bun.

Other menu items include its signature Louisiana chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, hot wings; mac ‘n’ cheese; and Southern biscuits with Cajun gravy. All chicken served will be fully-sourced from the UK, and the group has signed up to the European 'Better Chicken' Commitment.

There will also be a ‘Hottie Sauce’ created by Grammy Award-winning musician Megan Thee Stallion as part of her global partnership with the restaurant brand.

The Westfield launch, confirmed to be happening on the 20th, will kickstart the fast food chain’s aim to open 350 sites across the UK over the next 10 years.
