
KFC Offers Date Night Table Service
The chicken chain announced plans to launch a date night table service, which includes linen napkins, flowers, a silver candelabra and soft drink sommelier.
KFC said that research had suggested that more couples prefer a low-key dinner (38%) over an expensive slap-up meal (4%).
In addition, with the average expenditure on Valentines Day revealed as just £13, with more than half of men (52%) expect to foot the bill. The study also revealed that it’s the thought that counts as three in five Brits (62%) place value on effort over affluence with just 4% considering an expensive gift to be important.
With nearly one in five Londoners (18%) admitting they would be perfectly happy with a fast food feast for the special occasion, KFC expects to sell 20% more buckets than usual.
