Taiwanese fried chicken concept Mr Ji set to open first permanent site in Soho
The concept looks to provide a modern and sustainable take on Taiwanese food.
Taiwanese fried chicken concept Mr Ji is set to launch their UK debut site in Soho this November.
Located at 72 Old Compton Street, the 1,000 sq ft unit features an interior that intends to reflect neon-lit night markets found in Taipei.
The concept features crispy fried chicken dusted with flavourful powders, from butterflied chicken breasts to mini bites to chicken thigh ‘burgers’. Sweet potato doughnuts will be served as a dessert option, with a variety Taiwanese teas and alcohol-infused options on offer.
The new venture looks to deliver “a modern and sustainable take on Taiwanese food and drink” to both grab-and-go and dine-in customers.
“I’m looking forward to bringing my modern and sustainable take on Taiwanese fried chicken to Old Compton Street, using fantastic quality chicken and punchy powders,” Mr Ji founder Samuel Haim said in a statement.
The site was acquired with the assistance of leisure property consultancy Shelley Sandzer.
