Three dessert concepts to join London's Chinatown
Shaftesbury says dessert is gaining traction in the area.
Three dessert-centered concepts have joined Chinatown London, Shaftesbury has announced.
Situated in Newport Court are Kova Patisserie, which serves French-Japanese fusion patisserie within a new 240 sq ft store, and Taiyakiya, which offers taiyaki, fish-shaped waffle cones with soft-serve ice cream from a 200 sq ft store.
Meet Fresh, meanwhile, is opening up their 1,800 sq ft European debut store at 100-102 Shaftesbury Avenue, providing Taiwanese desserts, including Taro Q balls and smooth tofu pudding.
“Dessert focused concepts are a popular and exciting food trend, and they are gaining more and more traction within Chinatown London,” Shaftesbury head of group restaurant strategy Julia Wilkinson said.
