Hospitality union welcomes government's Environment Bill

The bill was first introduced in October 2019.

UKHospitality has welcomed the government’s Environment Bill, said new environmental measures must consider “possible cost increases.”

“Our sector has worked proactively to cut waste, promote recycling and tackle environmental issues, and will continue to do so,” UKHospitality chief executive Kate Nicholls said in a statement.

“Any new measures need to take into consideration possible cost increases, of which consumers will need to be made aware,” she added.

The new bill was first introduced in October 2019 before it was reintroduced during the general election last January.
