SSP opens first food and beverage units in Brazil
More concepts are expected to be rolled out in the coming months.
SSP Group announced it has opened its first outlets in Brazil's two main international airports, Rio de Janeiro Tom Jobim International Airport and São Paulo International Airport.
The new units are the first to open under a joint venture partnership between SSP and Duty Free Americas (DFA), following the win of contracts worth circa £70m running over nine years.
SSP’s Upper Crust outlet at Rio de Janeiro Tom Jobim International Airport boasts 120m² of space with a seating area providing views across the airport. The concept features a menu of sandwiches, baguettes and snacks, as well as fillings inspired by Brazil including the ‘Salpicon’ baguette.
The group’s own contemporary dining concept Factory Bar & Kitchen will soon be unveiled at the airport as well.
At São Paulo, SSP Mi Casa Burritos concept has a 100m² unit and showcases a range of dishes including tacos, burritos and nachos.
SSP says it will continue to develop its operations at Rio de Janeiro Tom Jobim International Airport and São Paulo International Airport in the coming months, and will shortly open new Jamie’s Deli restaurants at both airports, taking the global partnership between SSP and Jamie Oliver Restaurants to 18 outlets.
