Lievito debuts on Fulham Road

The Italian pizzeria will arrive on Fulham Road in late November 2016. Located at 273 FulhamRoad, the new restaurant will be spread over two floors totaling 1,099sq ft. The site will be the brand’s first in the UK, and will serve pizza and traditional Calabrian dishes native to the south west region of Italy. The 40-45 cover pizzeria will also feature a grab-and-go element. A variety of specialty craft beers will be available, alongside a menu with many ingredients sourced from Calabrian food suppliers via southern Italy. The site will also stock food produce from their brand enjoycalabria in the UK for the first time, allowing diners to purchase authentic ingredients used in the dishes. The interior has been designed by Fabrica Architecture Ltd, and will retain many original features of the Victorian building including cast iron stoves. The bar area will incorporate a visible pizza oven, while downstairs low-lighting and exposed brickwork alcoves of the original cellars will feature. Commenting on the news, Hannah Grievson, Commercial Property Manager at Sloane Stanley said: “Lievito’s debut UK restaurant is an exciting addition to Fulham Road’s outstanding retail and dining offer. We are thrilled the brand selected this location to house their unique pizza and craft beer concept. The popularity of authentic Italian cuisine among fine-dining lovers makes them a perfect fit for Fulham Road visitors and shoppers as well as residents.” Rocco Caridi founder of Lievito, added: “Our sourdough pizzas and craft beers are a departure from the usual patterns of classic pizzerias and pubs. Lievito is a restaurant concept with its own identity, bringing innovation and tradition together. Our bespoke mixture of wholemeal flours makes our pizzas unique and recognisable for their lightness.” "With its international catchment, affluent residents and reputation for excellent retail and dining, the Fulham Road is the perfect place for us to brining the authentic taste of Calabria to the UK. We are hugely proud of our traditional menu which will have an appeal in an area where there is currently no other offer like us.” Sloane Stanley is one of the oldest landowning estates in London.
